Edyta Bojanowska is Professor of Slavic Languages and Literatures at Yale University specializing in 19th century Russian literature and intellectual history, empire and nation in Russian culture. She’s the author of Nikolai Gogol: Between Ukrainian and Russian Nationalism. Her new book is A World of Empires: The Russian Voyage of the Frigate Pallada published by Harvard University Press.
