Anya Bernstein is the John L. Loeb Associate Professor of the Social Sciences in Anthropology at Harvard University. She the author of two books Religious Bodies Politic: Rituals of Sovereignty in Buryat Buddhism published by the University of Chicago Press, and most recently The Future of Immortality: Remaking Life and Death in Contemporary Russia published by Princeton University Press.
