Priya Lal is an Associate Professor of African history and modern world history at Boston College. Her research focuses on the politics of national development in decolonization-era and postcolonial Africa. She’s the author of African Socialism in Postcolonial Tanzania: Between the Village and the World published by Cambridge University Press.
